Mask Update

Masks: Recommended, not Required. Masks are no longer mandated by the state of Wisconsin. Cudahy and Milwaukee County do not have any current restrictions either, but the CDC and the Cudahy Health Department “Safe Practice Guidelines” still recommend mask-wearing when indoors at large gatherings. Realize that some may prefer to wear masks, and some may prefer not to wear them. As Christians, God’s Word speaks to us all, asking that we think about others: “Finally, brothers and sisters, be of…

Normal Service Times Resuming / Masks

We have been holding in-person worship services for two months. The Church Council had asked the “Re-Open Church Team” to pause and evaluate things at the end of July. Here are the two- month attendance numbers: Thursday evenings averaged 41 in worship. Sunday mornings averaged a total of 67 at both services. Based on that Sunday average, it was determined that we should go back to a single service at 9:30 am on Sunday. By opening up the back rows…

In Person Worship Resuming

Our Church Council met yesterday and voted to reopen St. Paul’s for public worship services this weekend – June 4+7. The Council also approved a recommended list of measures presented by our “Re-open Church Team” that we will be taking so that worshipers will be kept as safe as possible during these times. While many are eager and excited to return to worship, we want to do this in a way that honors the gifts of God’s Word and Sacrament…

With the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s ruling this week, there is still a great deal of uncertainty about what that might mean for churches in Milwaukee County.  Our Coordinating Church Council will be meeting on Sunday, May 31, to discuss those possibilities after the May 21 and May 26 restriction dates have expired, and possibly some new guidelines will be issued. We want to ensure that in-person worship and other activities are offered in as safe a manner as possible. We’ll be…

April 6th, 2020 – Holy Week

Dear St. Paul’s Family of Faith,  It would be hard to overstate how much we miss being in God’s House for worship. We pray the day will come soon when we can again enjoy each other’s fellowship. Until then, we will continue to provide online services on Sundays at 9:30 am and Wednesday devotions at 6:30 pm at stpaulscudahy.com.  The following decision came as the result of prayerful deliberation with St. Paul’s Church Council and consultation with many others in…

March 19, 2020

Dear Members of our St. Paul’s – Cudahy Family – On Monday morning, our St. Paul’s leadership team was trying to determine what to do as far as our Wednesday Lenten services and our regular worship services.  Governor Evers’ ban on gatherings of more than 50, followed by President Trump’s recommendation to avoid gatherings of more than 10, helped make the decision for us.  St. Paul’s Church is cancelling all scheduled worship services, Bible Classes and activities until further notice.…
