We have been holding in-person worship services for two months. The Church Council had asked the “Re-Open Church Team” to pause and evaluate things at the end of July. Here are the two- month attendance numbers: Thursday evenings averaged 41 in worship. Sunday mornings averaged a total of 67 at both services. Based on that Sunday average, it was determined that we should go back to a single service at 9:30 am on Sunday. By opening up the back rows of pews on both sides we can still safely continue our every-other-pew spacing and distancing guidelines we originally set up and set our Sunday worship number at 80, while eliminating one of the three complete cleanings of the church we are currently doing.
For that reason, our weekly worship times will change the weekend of August 9 – Thursday (Aug. 6) at 6:30 pm, and Sunday (Aug. 9) at 9:30 am. Please continue to use the sign up for the worship using either the Sign-Up Genius or call the church office. Please continue to sit toward the front of church and use those pews first.
Masks
Masks Are Required! Governor Evers has mandated the use of cloth face masks while indoors at a public facility through the end of September. Therefore, masks are required for in-person worship in accordance with the state-wide policy. If you do not have a mask when you arrive, we have them available in the entryway. If we see someone not wearing a mask in church, assume they have a condition or circumstance that makes wearing a mask difficult or dangerous. While some have concerns about this mandate, it is an opportunity for us to express Christian love to our community and those at risk.
