Lent 6: Relying on Grace
Confession has two parts. The one is that we confess our sins; the other, that we receive absolution or forgiveness from the pastor as from God himself, not doubting but firmly believing that our sins are thus forgiven before God in heaven….It’s that second part – faith – that takes hold of the fact that our God is gracious and forgives all our sins.
Lent 1 – The Need for Repentance
This Lent, we’ll reflect on the importance – and blessings – of repentance. We begin this Ash Wednesday by reflecting upon our need to repent.
