Are you ready for a mystery?

How is it possible for there to be Father, Son and Holy Spirit, three person; and yet only one God? That is the mystery of the Triune God the Bible speaks of time and time again. Just because our human minds can’t grasp the Trinity’s 3-in-1 concept doesn’t make it untrue. God does not lie to us in his Word of salvation and promise. The Trinity is unique to the Christian faith. On Trinity Sunday, we’ll celebrate and explore why…

What a difference the Spirit makes!

Everybody knows that Christmas (the Father sending his Son) and Easter (the Son rising from the dead) are big-time Christian Church celebrations. What many do not know is that Pentecost (the Holy Spirit’s presence) should be right up there with the other two. Pentecost celebrates the work of the Holy Spirit. Mother’s Day 2024

Have you noticed that it seems more and more people of all ages are getting tattoos? Some of them are more subtle and hidden, while others are big, bold and visible. This Mother’s Day weekend we are going to talk about tattoos. What’s the connection between Mother’s Day and tattoos?

Confirmation 2024

This weekend is Confirmation at St. Paul’s.  Over the past two years, nine young Christians have been strengthened (confirmed) in their Christian faith and life through studies in God’s Word.  On Sunday, they will publicly profess their loyalty to their Savior Jesus.  And, because of their desire to take the Lord’s Supper and the common confession of faith they have expressed with this congregation, they will be invited to receive the Lord’s Supper. Do you remember your own Confirmation?  Was…

Easter Continues

The Easter decorations have been taken down.  The Easter candy bowl is empty.  But that doesn’t mean that the impact of the Easter message has been left behind.  “Easter Makes a Difference” is the theme for this weekend’s worship at St. Paul’s.  Join us and find out how Easter continues to make an impact on your life every day, not just the day the Christian church celebrates our Lord’s resurrection.

The Lamb is the Shepherd

The Bible is full of pictures that help us better understand God’s love for us. On Good Friday we saw Jesus, the Lamb of God, taking away the sins of the world through his sacrifice on the cross. This week, we see Jesus, the Good Shepherd, caring for and protecting his flock of believers. Leave it up to the book of Revelation, that spectacular vision God gave the Apostle John, to combine both pictures of Jesus, as a Lamb and…

Our celebration of the first Easter Sunday, the most important day in the history of this planet, was two weeks ago. But our celebration of Jesus’ Easter victory over sin, death and Satan continues this Sunday. It will for the next 50 weeks on the calendar. The early Christians wanted that Easter joy to continue, even after their day of celebration passed. They decided to change the day they worshiped so they’ll never forget, “Sunday, the first day of the…

Easter 2

Our Easter Victory Celebration continues – every day, every week, every second, every year. That’s because the impact of Easter affects every aspect of our life – and beyond. This morning we again contemplate the empty tomb and its fulfilling impact on our lives.
