A Champion for the Defeated

In ancient times, instead of two armies battling it out and losing so many lives, each army would choose one soldier to fight for the entire battle; a battle to the death. The survivor is named the champion! We can think of David and Goliath as an example. But the very first battle ever fought was in the Garden of Eden. When Adam and Eve sinned, the devil claimed that the children of men now belonged to him. But our Father loved us so much that He sent His Son to fight our battles for us. On His time here on earth, Jesus encountered temptation, just like Adam and Eve did, and just like we do today. But Jesus comes off that battlefield a Champion every single time the devil ever tempts him. We always have a Champion in our corner!
