For people who lived in the small communities south of Milwaukee, “The Crusher” was a household name. He was part of one of the first professional wrestling group, and he called South Milwaukee, Wisconsin home. His massive hands and brute strength allowed him to crush just about anything. No, we aren’t honoring “The Crusher” this weekend, but our worship at St. Paul’s centers around someone nicknamed “The Head Crusher.” In Genesis chapter 3, God makes a promise that someone will come along who will “crush Satan’s head.” Christmas is our celebration of “The Head Crusher’s” birth in Bethlehem. Our Savior’s massive power and strength defeated Satan and sin and brings a song to our hearts.
