Hope is an interesting thing. It can be the “hope” for warmer weather, or it can be the “hope” that keeps someone going even when all seems to be lost. Jesus’ disciples seemed to lose hope he was alive, even though there had been numerous Jesus’ sightings. Our difficult and uncertain COVID-19 times have challenged even the most hopeful among us. Our hope in Jesus is not wishful thinking, but a certainty founded on the events of Good Friday and Easter Sunday. God had promised and carried this hope about our Savior Jesus to our ears and hearts through his Word.
