Mother’s Day is a yearly reminder of what gets taken for granted on a daily basis. Mothering always takes lots of time and love, sacrifice and tears – both kinds – joy and sadness. Motherhood will always be one of the most demanding and rewarding experiences there is. Make sure you thank the God who gave you your mom, and appreciate those whom God has called to the role of Christian mother.
And while our attention is on moms this weekend, it also naturally includes the whole family. This Mother’s Day weekend, St. Paul’s will be using the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Colossians to give specific instructions for each family member: mom and dad, husband and wife and children, too.
Sermon Text: Colossians 3:15-21
