Benjamin Franklin made famous the saying, “In this world, nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.” But there is something more inevitable: That God deserves praise. While certainly human, Jesus was also God and would be praised. In fact, on Palm Sunday, Jesus said, “I tell you, if [my disciples] were to keep silent, the stones would cry out.” (Luke 19:40) Today we bring our praise to God in hymns, prayers, and words of praise.
