Sermon Text: Genesis 18
There is a famous painting of Jesus standing at the door and knocking. It was painted in the 1940’s by Warner Sallman, an artist out of Chicago. What would it be like if Jesus knocked on your door or popped in for a visit? Would you open the door and invite him in? Would you ask him to wait on the porch while you straighten things up? Would you slam the front door and run out the back door?
This Sunday our Old Testament lesson has some “special” visitors unexpectedly dropping in on Abraham and Sarah.
